I enjoy painting landscapes. I paint them from life, outdoors on the spot. This presents special challenges in Ireland where the weather is not, to say the least, very reliable. However this also makes it interesting. You can never describe it all. So you must make actual decisions! Some of the larger paintings were completed over a few years as I returned to them when the season came back around.
